Cylindrical imperata is an ornamental grass native to Asia. Reaches a height of up to 60 cm. It grows quite slowly. Its greatest ornament is the leaves. At first they are green, but later they take on a beautiful, characteristic and red hue. In autumn, it turns into an even more intense, purple color. White imperata flowers in our climate, unfortunately, rarely appear. Red Baron grass prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soils and sunny or semi-shaded positions. It is worth adding, however, that the leaves of the grass will be much more intense in the sun. The plant is frost-resistant, but at very low temperatures it is worth protecting it. The use of the plant is very versatile. We can plant it both on perennial beds and on the edges of ponds or water ponds. Red Baron grass will also work well when planted in containers. It will also look beautiful in compositions with other colorful grasses. A plant bought in containers can be planted throughout the growing season.
