Description

A variety of gray meadowsweet with profusely blooming, picturesque flowers. The deciduous shrub is medium tall and grows up to 2 meters high and the same width. It has thin, slightly hairy and arched shoots. Gray meadowsweet Grefsheimblooms early, before the leaves develop. Flowers appear already in April. They are small, white and grow over the entire length of the shoots, gathering in narrow inflorescences. The leaves appear after the flowers have faded. They are quite long, narrow-lanceolate and entire. They have a green color and are covered with a delicate down, which gives them a slight gray shade. In autumn the leaves turn golden yellow. Grefsheim meadowsweet is an easy to grow and beautiful plant. Fully frost-resistant, it also copes with temporary droughts. The shrub develops most beautifully in sunny positions, but it can also grow in a small shade. It has no special soil requirements, although permeable and fertile soils suit it best. The plant can be planted as a hedge or as a background for colorful garden flowers.
