Description

Japanese Red Head is an exceptionally colorful, tufted plant, cultivated mainly for large inflorescences.
Characteristic of this plant are thin and long, dark green leaves and feather-like inflorescences. They are initially pinkish red, then turn brownish-black. The flowering period of ornamental grass is from September to October. Red Head is a grass that forms large clumps. Suitable for growing in almost every garden. In order to bloom, it requires a sunny or semi-shaded position, light and fertile soil, with a slightly moist substrate, grows up to 100 cm in height. It is an undemanding plant that grows quickly, but requires a position sheltered from the wind. After flowering, it is worth trimming the beautiful, long leaves close to the ground. Such a treatment will stimulate it to grow again in the following year.
