Description

Strongly growing shrub, strongly climbing. Stems strong, thick and erect. Large, green leaves with five lobes, heavily mossy, slightly curled at the bottom. In autumn they turn red with yellow veining. The fruiting period falls on the beginning of September. A very productive variety. Medium-sized clusters, loosely compact, cylindrical. The fruits are spherical, large, dark purple, with a wax coating. The flesh is aromatic, tasty, firm, slightly jelly-like, with a citrus aftertaste. The fruits are suitable for eating raw, as well as for preserves, wine. This variety is very resistant to frost and diseases. The plant prefers fertile, sandy loam, acidic, moderately moist soils. Watering is necessary during prolonged droughts. The best places to plant are sunny, warm and sheltered from the wind positions. The vines should have a support in the form of a wall, a gazebo or a specially prepared pergola. Young vines with leaves are planted in May, and without leaves in autumn.
