Description

A fast-growing variety of intermediate yew, characterized by a beautiful color of needles. After 10 years of planting, the shrub grows to a height of 3 meters and a width of more than a meter. Yew Hicksi has a very nice, columnar shape. The shoots are erect, erect and compact. They are overgrown with stiff, shiny and dark green needles, the color of which is intense throughout the year. In September, the bush bears red, spherical fruits that embellish it until November. However, be careful because they are poisonous to humans. It grows best in sunny or slightly shaded positions. More shade can cause the plant shoots to spread out to the sides. The most suitable soil for intermediate yews is permeable, fertile and constantly moist. They also like the alkaline reaction of the substrate on which they grow the strongest. Shrubs tolerate pruning very well, which is why they can be formed into various shapes in the garden, they also work well as hedges.
