Description

Fargesia rusty is an evergreen, exotic bamboo grass. It grows up to 2-3 m in height, spreads quite strongly to the sides, forming dense clumps composed of lignified, cylindrical stems that grow from short, underground rhizomes. Long, lanceolate, soft to the touch and graceful leaves give it a subtropical charm. The variety is recommended for planting singly and in groups in home gardens, near water reservoirs, in oriental-style gardens. Suitable for both Japanese and modern style gardens. It tolerates pruning very well, you can create an interesting hedge , both formed and natural. Also suitable for growing in a pot. The best place for bamboo is sheltered from north and east winds. Fargesia prefers shady positions, but it also does well in sunny positions.
